Osmar Menezes is a Postdoc at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona. He graduated Magna cum Laude from the Federal University of Ceará (Brazil) with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He received his master's and Ph.D. degrees from the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil), researching the environmental degradation of different aromatic compounds. Osmar was a visiting scholar at the University of Arizona during his Ph.D. His research interest includes bioremediation, environmental chemistry, and environmental biotechnology. His current work focuses on biotic and abiotic strategies for the remediation of insensitive munitions compounds. His other interests include photography and cooking.
