Sara graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry at the UofA in 2021. She is currently pursuing a PhD degree in Environmental Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. Sara was an undergraduate research assistant in the Field-Sierra group for two years (2019-2021). The topic of her research was the remediation of PFAS contaminated groundwater via polymer sorption. While in Tucson, Sara was heavily involved in the UofA's chapter of the Student Members of the American Chemical Society. In her free time, she likes to play video games, collect Pokemon cards, and eat ice cream!
